A Portrait of Nonno

This portrait I made for my Grandpa (aka Nonno) for his 80th birthday. As a migrant, he has spent his whole life working hard for his family in a fruit shop. The hardest worker I know, it’s nice to be able to repay the favor in some form.

I felt it was fitting painting Nonno how we all remember him. Dishing out platters of fruit whenever we come to visit.

Through her storytelling, Bianca seeks to approach her work with awareness, respect, and appreciation for the cultural heritage and traditions of the Traditional Custodians of this land.
